We explore some of the common fears surrounding talking about suicide and mental ill health and how we can support your workplace to feel more confident and equipped.

Common myth: talking about suicide puts the idea in someone’s mind. Evidence has found that the opposite is true. A safe, non-judgemental environment to talk about feelings of suicide can be a relief for someone who is struggling. They may have never shared these thoughts with anyone and so feeling able to openly talk and then understanding where they can go for support and that it is OK to have shared this with you can be very powerful.
