It has been fantastic working in partnership with Orbit Group over the last 18 months and seeing their commitment to supporting the wellbeing of their staff on an ongoing basis. We have delivered a range of training from upskilling management to Mental Health First Aid qualifications as well working behind the scenes to help promote a proactive and supportive culture from the top down.
Shortly into the pandemic, Orbit Group recognised the need to adapt their existing approach and re-launch their wellbeing strategy to support their employees through these unprecedented times. Their focus is on the needs of each individual, recognising that there is no ‘one size fits all approach’.
We are delivering across their 4 pillars of wellbeing (financial, soul, physical and emotional) providing training and valuable resources that can be accessed if and when an employee needs guidance.
All managers are attending interactive virtual workshops to enhance confidence in supporting their teams remotely; and a range of mental health awareness and upskilling sessions are being run at all levels across the organisation. They are setting a positive example with senior leaders openly sharing their experiences of mental ill health and have a range of resources available to staff, including an employee assistance programme offering free confidential support.
We are really looking forward to delivering face to face again, however this is a fantastic example of how interactive and powerful virtual training can be. We want to thank Orbit for their engagement and forward thinking on this and look forward to continuing the journey together.
